THP Tempranillo was created by winemakers that believe in the magic of blended wines. This blend of 85% Tempranillo and 15% Syrah is composed entirely of grapes sourced from high elevation vineyards found throughout West Texas. The components of this wine were fermented as separate parcels and blended early to achieve a balanced and complex wine. All components of this wine were aged sur lie in the unique conditions found in 500-L Italian Terracotta Amphora and 100% new American oak.
This intense wine is highly perfumed with a complex, spicy nose of baking spices, tobacco leaf, black cherry, with smoky, earthy aromas rounding things out. This wine is full bodied with vibrant acidity and firm tannins.
Enjoy this wine as you would a great Cabernet, with hearty steaks such as a grilled ribeye, NY Strip, or Bleu cheese.
