Wine Club Albariño

Overview

The Llano Estacado Wine Club is the perfect venue for us to showcase small, handcrafted batches of wine. In addition, we get the opportunity to bring recognition to the Llano growers whose hard work allows us to make these special lots.

Our 2017 Wine Club Albariño showcases an iconic Galician grape known as Albariño which has been grown on the northwest corner of the Iberian Peninsula for centuries. Plantings of this variety in Texas are scarce, with only a handful of Texas wineries doing so. Aiming to make a more traditional style, we harvested for acidity and planned a long, cold fermentation to yield a wine with fruity, yet complex aromatics and flavors.

Traditional Spanish seafood dishes such as crab croquettes, fresh sole seared with olive oil, or oysters on the half shell are the recommended food pairing with this aromatic wine.
