Wine Club Petite Sirah
Overview
This varietal Petite Sirah (known elsewhere as Durif) is a rare find outside of the state of California. This veritable vin de garde is a cross between the French grape varieties Peloursin and Syrah, and when grown in our semi-arid climes of West Texas, produces a more delicate and nuanced version compared to the “fruit bomb” style that is widely available. A slight chalk aromatic is intertwined with black cherry, complex earthy notes, and leading to a deep plum flavor with integrated toasty oak. This wine can be enjoyed now, or aged if one desires a more complex offering.
Enjoy this wine cool (60°F) with a variety of meaty fare, rich cheeses, and grilled vegetables.
